Yellow flowers against an urban background.

Today was a celebration of the Sigma 35mm f2.0 Contemporary lens as used with a Leica SL camera. No Tomfoolery with artificial lens blur or post production tricks. Just enjoying the magic that's the nature of lenses used close and with big, fat apertures.

  1. I used to own a Kiron 28-85mm lens that had highest close-up magnification (around 1:4) at 28mm. I loved taking photographs with it that featured great big blossoms in the foreground and teeny tiny buildings, trees, clouds, and mountains in the background. These days I tend to prefer using longer lenses for close-up work, which produce a very-different look. Perhaps I should try using my current wide zoom lenses to do close-up work of the type I once favored.

If your comment sucks I won't post it. If it doesn't make sense I won't post it. If I disagree with your premise you've still got a shot...so go for it.
If you want to be a smart ass and argue with me don't bother. If you have something smart to say then WELCOME. If you tell me I must be nice and well mannered toward stupid content on other people's blogs please don't bother. I'm self censoring. But in a good and happy way. Your shaming probably just sucks... Have a nice day.
